OK... here we go... there was a 2 year transition period, and they didn't become a full 1-A program until 2006. CFB Data Warehouse is right in this instance... whoever did the Wikipedia page is wrong.

2004, 2005 - reclassification years
2006 - present - 1-A program, bowl eligible

They weren't an FCS school though, so not sure how to classify this game.

To their credit Colorado has played only one FCS team in this time span. To their discredit it was Dan Hawkins debut game at CU and he lost to Montana State.

Oklahoma has played 2 FCS schools in this time period.

Chattanooga 2008
Idaho State 2009

Kansas State has played two FCS opponents in the same season three times since 2002, and has played as total of 10 games against FCS-level schools since 2000. Minnesota has seven games against FCS competition since 2000, though never two in the same season.

Oregon has three FCS games since 2000, and will make it four this year. Three of those opponents, however, are Portland State. The Ducks play PSU every few years just to throw 'em a bone.
