Note that most Nebraska games were very low scoring last year too. The difference I guess is that Nebraska offense is usually not low scoring, last year was weird in that respect.

If this game is close, then advantage really goes to LSU as LSU has a 19-7 record in games decided by 7 points or less since 2001.

NC does look to be better than I expected. This could be one of the better games on the first college football weekend of 2010.

Yeah, UNC is looking good early.

I think it's going to be a good game, but I still think LSU wins this game.

Many are predicting North Carolina to run a top 10 defense (maybe even top 5 defense) out onto the field this year. Given LSUs recent history of offense struggles and lack of a real standout starting QB, Jefferson is no doubt talented but everything I have heard from a lot of my buddies who went to LSU is that he has not had a great offseason.

If the LSU offense comes out muttering, then I don't think they will get much against UNC and the Heels will be able to win the game if they can push their own offense down the field.

This is a tough call, UNC should have a nasty defense this season.

I ended up picking LSU though.

The defenses are expected to shine, but I'm hoping it will be high-scoring.

OOC? Yep! Especially being the first game of the season.
Last year we traveled to Washington and struggled early.
We play both UNC and WV this year as well as the usual
SEC games so it could be a tough year.
